Daniel J. Matthews leads business development in Western Canada and the Territories for WSP Canada. With over 25 years of experience in project and client management in the North American energy sector, Daniel utilizes his business acumen to recognize new strategic opportunities across all sectors, advising the company’s Canadian Leadership Team on where best to position itself in the regional market. Prior to his transition to the role, Daniel was a director in the company’s Energy, Resources and Industry business line, helping sector leaders guide their teams in the successful delivery of key projects for clients, including Enbridge, TC Energy, TransGas and Energir. He has also worked with subject matter experts within WSP determine how to help companies with their energy transition, exploring options for lower carbon and zero carbon emissions solutions like Renewable Natural Gas, Compressed and Liquified Natural Gas, Hydrogen and Carbon Capture Utilization and Storage. As Canada takes steps towards its 2030 emissions goals, his experience will help WSP Canada, and its clients, navigate the opportunities for delivering resilient solutions that position communities for a greener future.
